Born and raised in Texas, Golden Grove founder Katie Blakeley has always been inspired by the warmth and hospitality she witnessed going to school in the South. Katie graduated from Ole Miss (Hotty Toddy!) with a degree in Business and a minor in Marketing after living both abroad and across Texas before settling in San Antonio with her husband in 2015. Her past experiences coupled with the pure joy of entertaining at social gatherings and events, motivated her to start thinking of a career beyond the somewhat stale corporate world. Balancing both her full-time job and new entrepreneurial path, Katie followed her passion for inventing unique experiences and transferred it into creating customized products — from thoughtful gifting to chic party swag and everything in between. Katie has always had a knack for creativity and making people feel welcomed, which is a gift that naturally propelled her to ultimately launch her customization business.
